Say Hey!

This story from OPB this morning: Say Hey

Really now, it's difficult getting ANYONE--regardless of racial / ethnic background--to Oregon from NYC. Portlanders have a hard time imagining--with our New York native mayor and shuttle flights to LAX, SFO, and SEA every half hour--that East Coasters probably still think we don't have paved roads out here. People and companies move away from here when their business partners start saying "Portland, where?" Seems to me it'd be better to spend energy and resources attracting and keeping businesses in high-minority population areas, such as Adidas to NE. Increases tax revenues that improve schools to even out opportunities s.t. more of our own minority community can become competitive applicants to executive positions.
Other than that, good luck to "Say Hey!"
