Al Gore slicks his hair back!

Fox News is apoplectic over Al Gore's refusal to listen to House Republican's drivvel about global warming before he gives his statement. We already know what they would have said [PDF]. An excerpt:
We all have experience of hindsight, once actions we've taken have been tested by history. In hindsight, was signing the Kyoto Treaty on behalf of the United States really a good idea? If so, why did your Administration never send it to the Senate for ratification?
That's Joe Barton and Dennis Hastert writing the letter. The ones who would have gladly helped kill Kyoto in the Senate before it was ever introduced if they had been in Senators at the time.

Good for Al Gore to not subject himself to this BS. As we know, today's message is that Al Gore slicks his hair back to make his face look full and he's not to be trusted because he's making this into a Hollywood spectacle. Good for him to circumvent this orchestrated assault.

Update: He really did slick his hair back. And his face does look full!

Just to be clear: this story was pitched as a confrontational interaction between Gore and the rest of the world for the sole purpose of getting him elected. By avoiding the Republican opening statement, he made it a little more difficult for the spinmeisters to roll out their pre-fab story.
