Maryland Fires II

Greta on Fox just ran the Maryland fires story. Here too, as expected, cable news picked up on the fact that the Sierra Club criticised the sprawl. This message needs to come out if there is to be any environmental movement here at all, no matter how small it might [sadly] be here now:

The Sierra Club is not--and cannot be--involved in this. Drop your right-wing BS now.

How low have we come, to have the major cable networks imply that the Sierra Club might be involved in ecoterrorism? How jaded have we become, to allow this crap to be fed to us? How blind are we as a society to be more concerned about the temporary value of these unoccupied homes than the value of these lasting wetlands? The Sierra Club only wanted to make a statement about the wetlands, it had nothing to do with the fires.

Stop this madness now. If not, will there be more elves?
