Pffft DDT

I've been meaning to comment on this, but forgot until just now when I read Chris Mooney's post over at the indispensable Science Blogs about the ex-EPA chiefs that got together the other day to chat about global warming.

"If we wait for every single scientist who has a thought on the issue of climate change to agree, we will never do anything," [Carol Browner, Clinton's EPA administrator] said. "If this agency had waited to completely understand the impacts of DDT...there would probably still be DDT sprayed...."

Now, now, now. That's so yesterday. Today we know that DDT is the name of a yummy and life-saving softdrink that cynical Euros and whacko Eco-Terrorist sympathisers have denied Africans for years, causing nothing but death and disease.
