Today's op-ed in the Washington Post by Emily Yoffe is literally so inane I'm speechless. The last sentence, in particular, deserves an award of some kind. Can someone please give it the mockery it so richly deserves?The sentence:
In his new book, "The Assault on Reason," Gore denounces what he sees as today's politics of fear. Yet his own campaign of mass persuasion -- any such campaign -- is not amenable to contradiction and uncertainty. It's about fright and absolutes. But just because something can be plotted on an X and Y axis does not make it the whole truth.We all know that everything that can be plotted on an X and Y axis is the whole truth and is therefore deserving of equal media time.
