"Economists expected payroll growth of about 140,000 and the unemployment rate to remain at 6 percent, according to a survey conducted by CBS MarketWatch.
Including revisions to previous months, payrolls were about 95,000 short of expectations."

"Average hourly earnings rose 0.1 percent to $15.46. In the past year, hourly earnings are up 2.1 percent, the slowest year-over-year growth in 16 years."

"Of the 8.7 million officially classified as unemployed, 23.7 percent or 2 million, have been out of work longer than six months. It's the highest percentage of long-term joblessness in 20 years. The average duration of unemployment was 20.1 weeks, also the most in nearly 20 years."

20 yrs ago...hmmh....when was that? Oh, yeah, that's when the man on the future dime was still president. Though he wasn't a brother that could spare a dime, it's probably a better place to put him than an airport (remember also that he FIRED ATCs)
