Snowday observation

Looking out over the parking lot, I've noticed that those folks who insist on driving their 4-wheel drive monstrosities every day--including the numerous smog warning days--because they might need to go to work in the extremely rugged Portland winter driving conditions (half an inch of snow every two years), are either not here today or they arrived well after all the snow had stopped and the roads were cleared. Meanwhile the regular commuter cars (most of them without asphalt ripping studs) were here as usual this morning.

Seeing as how this is the holiday season, most probably wouldn't have come in today anyway. So, I guess they'll need to pollute the air for another two years to actually get to use their terror supporting, underengineered boxes in inclement weather conditions.
