"Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden has asked the Interior Department to look into Enviroscientists, which has ties to the mining industry."

From the Oregonian.

"BLM officials said they supply most information for the plan, review the company's work and make all final decisions on the substance of the plan. They said the company's ties to mining groups are professional affiliations, not conflicts of interest."

How can a group of out-of-state folks with deep ties in the mining industry who have publicly proclaimed they want to "minimize the effects" of the environmental movement. Once again, I must point out that if a company with deep ties to the Sierra Club had won the contract we would have never heard the end of it from the "Fair and Balanced" crowd.
