fuckit
Looking at the Senate, House and Presidency, we're clearly all Republicans now. It'll be a great four more years: more deficits, more neocon wars in places like Iran and Syria (thanks to all the 18-26 year-olds that didn't come out to vote today but will be out there dying), less environmental protection, fewer new technologies for our future, worse health care.
Am I exaggerating? Check the wildest predictions made before the last four years, think about the next four.
This country has clearly gone over the deep end; we may be at the point of transcending "Cathago delenda est" and heading towards fiddling at the bonfire of Christian fundamentalist-unilateralist excesses. We may not remember how good we had it. Thanks to all the idiots who believe Bush is their savior from perceived threats like gays and gun control; and various real threats like "terrorism", a word describing a tactic but also a word that has been perverted to hide the fact that extremist Islamic fundamentalism is actually growing as a result of our policies.
I'm out of blogging for a while, I think.
