Do Fox & Friends hate our military?

F&F keep on repeating that the guy who asked Rummy about the hillbilly armor "got help from the [librul] media," to me it just sounds like they're implying that our boys in the military are too stupid to ask the question themselves.

Why do they think military folks are stupid?

Update: Looking at the explanation to the readers and the e-mail from the journalist, via poynter (scroll down for e-mail), it sounds like that question's been on the minds of many troops in Iraq.

"It is an issue raised by the soldiers in the 278th"

and, the journalist and the soldiers worked on the questions together (i.e. they weren't forced by the media to ask these questions)

"Beforehand we worked on questions to ask Rumsfeld about the appalling lack of armor their vehicles going into combat have."

and, apparently they weren't the only soldiers there thinking that way

"When he asked Rumsfeld why after two years here soldiers are still having to dig through trash bins to find rusted scrap metal and cracked ballistic windows for their Humvees, the place erupted in cheers so loud that Rumsfeld had to ask the guy to repeat his question."

Sounds to me like it's a concern to the troops over there that needs to be addressed. So, for Fox news or the Houston Chronicle to make a big deal about the embedded journalist rather than covering the lack of armor and the callous lack of respect Rumsfeld showed when he answered with "you go to war with the army you have" is really not being very supportive of the troops.
