polls mean nothing

Juan Cole sites these Iraqi poll numbers today, taken in April, 2004:

"On Balance, do you think of the Americans mostly as Occupiers or liberators?
Occupiers: 71 %
Liberators 19%"

Now, now, doesn't he know that a few thousand folks polled are meaningless outside of the reality-based community?
