back in non-reality world
Normally returning from vacation--especially one that was in an area where palm trees grow--means slogging through the odious task of returning to reality. How does this trip measure up?
I just heard Mort saying that things aren't quite as bad in Iraq as the "media" make things out to be. Hmmh, so here's someone in the media, stating that the media isn't showing enough good pictures out of Iraq. Of course he had no evidence to support his assertion, just a "feeling".
Another big story here is the oil-for-food "scandal." Note to the "media" [FNC]: no one cares. Why should anyone outside of Wyoming care about this? At worst, this is a scandal that's cost the world a tenth of the money spent these last two years deposing Saddam. The one thing Iraqis wanted more than anything was lifting the sanctions. Sure, they like that Saddam is no longer their hero, but the 'scandal' is that they lived under sanctions for over a dozen years, not that a crook like Saddam would cheat to help him and his own.
Of course then there's the guy who had a dead body pop up in his office a few years back who's now talking about media bias too!
