Bush just said that "today our air and water are cleaner than in 2001." I suppose that as long as he says so, it must be true!

Update: The WaPo carried the, uh, shall we say impotent headline of "Bush Picks Johnson to Head EPA" (later changed to include the man's first name) to describe today's snakey slithering in the grass of our nation's capitol.
