The conservative war on lefty bloggers
In what appears to be a concerted effort to starve liberal bloggers of content, President Bush today announced the resignation of Donald Rumsfeld. This comes only a day after such blogger-favorites as Rick Santorum, Richard Pombo, and Don "Choker" Sherwood were voted out of office. A seemingly angered Bush announced at a press conference today "this has gone on long enough. It has come to our attention that some web-loggers on the intertubes have resorted to directly quoting members of my administration and my party without even adding additional content. This has got to stop; we need to make bloggers work. hard. for their ad revenues, and this announcement is the first step in that direction." Cries of pain were noted even amongst conservative bloggers:
I love Rumsfeld. Rumsfeld was solid. A straight talking brilliant strategist. He had to take a 19th military, decimated and raped for 8 years by a shortsighted horndog (Clinton), and transform it into a lean, agile state of the art military overnight to go after the post modern 21st enemy. An enemy that has no specific territory, operates in the shadows, kills large numbers of civilians with an incomprehensible barbaric blood lust, and has made Iraq the central front on the war on Islamic fundamentalism. Rumsfeld did it, hands tied by the PC mentality that infected the Bush administration.Just you wait for the 22nd enemy! Arrrggghhh! Pop.
