Timeframe

Wingnuts are having a field day with a story about an environmental think tank in the UK suggested limiting families to two children each. It's rather silly because the average birth rate is already lower than two in Britain.

My favorite reaction to the story, however, is this from "blogs for Bush"

Ah, save the planet! For what? Supposing you could actually figure out the optimum number of people and the optimum amount of resource consumption so that the earth replenishes as fast as it is used - the world would last for ever! You would have saved the planet! But, for what? Eventually, the sun goes cold and the whole planet dies. We're saving vapor.

Wait...wasn't the baby Jesus supposed to return before that?
