Kudos to the Senate

Would that be a veto-proof majority in favor of raising fuel efficiency standards [not that that's necessary]? Could it be that the fear mongering didn't work this time around? Plus: little or no additional subsidies for ethanol except a vague promise to "expand" its use to 36 million gallons a year? Can't win 'em all, but that's not a bad start!
