Maggie Gallagher has some deep thoughts on science:

The amount of scientific evidence needed to establish a moral truth is inversely proportional to the degree to which this truth is congruent with liberalism's moral ends.

That pretty much defines wingnuttia's approach to science: as long as Al Gore and the leebruhls accept the data for what they are and propose policy based on those data, we don't like the data.
